Inspired by inns on the Western frontier where travelers gathered around tables for meals and were transformed from strangers to friends, the La Grange Friendship Table is distinguished by barley twist legs finished in a rich, dark Antique Varnish. The table top has a reclaimed wood character, finished in Barnwood, a multi-tone brown. The magic of this table is that you have a choice: you can use it at dining height, or raise it to counter height. Two 12-inch leaves extend the table to 84 inches long, accommodating six side chairs or counter-height chairs with both leaves in place. Taking the next step in creating a Hill Country family of collections, Hooker Furniture has introduced LaGrange. The anthology of bedroom, living room, dining room, occasional and home office furniture is inspired by the Hill Country region of Texas, including the town of LaGrange, one of the stops made by the Hooker Furniture design team in search of inspiration. The collection includes heavily distressed oak and hickory surfaces, extensive carving and scroll work, aged metals, sedimentary stone and primitive textiles. Each piece has a unique story to tell, while still retaining the authentic American character of the original collection. LaGrange is updated with a fresh new personality, brought to life by four distinctive finishes and modern conveniences for the lifestyles of today.

Finish Construction: Hooker Furniture utilizes a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.
Frame Construction: Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
Important Use Information: We recommend using coasters, placements and trivets when using hot containers with this item. It is also recommended to provide quick cleanup for any spills to minimize exposure to moisture. Doing so will prolong the life and look of the item and provide many years of the quality you expect.
